About the Addiction Studies Institute

We conduct research. We publish. We collaborate with universities. But we also organize street actions, create art, and test prototypes in parks, schools, and prisons. We're not about passive observation. We're about causing disruption—based on data.

We understand the context—political transformation, the Church, generational trauma, modern burnout. We're creating a Polish language of recovery—proud, intimate, uncensored. Not imported. Not institutionalized. Ours.

We respect competence. We love psychometrics. But we also believe that recovery can include dancing, bonfires, karaoke, theater, stickers, and laughter. Joy is a legitimate therapeutic method.

Indices, applications, recovery climate maps, banks of stories, data as art. We build instruments that don't just measure—they also play.

We debunk old narratives, lazy headlines, and punitive policies. Sometimes we write reports. Sometimes we put up a fake poster at a bus stop. Sometimes we organize sober karaoke with a member of parliament.

Researchers. Therapists. Architects. Former users. Programmers. Poets. Bartenders. Everyone has a place here. Even your grandmother.

Fewer queues. More tenderness. Less shame. More access. No one should have to burn their life to get help.

We publish in peer-reviewed journals and make photocopied zines. We give lectures and spread rumors in saunas. We know the DSM and write manifestos on napkins.
